Suns in Action program will be a fun, learning environment for those with little or no volleyball experience.   

The program will include skills, drills and positional training.

This will allow players the opportunity to be in the gym, interact, and engage with other

similar aged players, learn and play some volleyball.

All classes to be held at Gloria Dei Gym

​

ALL players must be PREREGISTERED AND PREPAID for classes 

NO WALKINS will be accepted

​

Sessions will be limited to a MAXIMUM of 25 players

​

  • Temperatures checked and recorded and hands sanitized upon arrival at the gym

  • Sanitizing stations throughout the gym with mandatory hand sanitization breaks

  • ALL coaches will wear masks

  • Masks will required for players upon entering and exiting the gym but will be optional during their session

  • Suns in Actions Minis are permitted one spectator

  • Suns in Actions - NO SPECTATORS PERMITTED

  • 15 minutes between sessions for equipment sanitization

 

Suns in Action participants will be divided by age

  • Suns in Action Minis - ages 5 - 8 

  • Suns in Action - ages 9 -12 

  • Suns in Action - ages 13 and up

 

Sessions:

Suns in Action Minis - Ages 5 - 8 - will work on coordination, developing gross and fine motor skills and teamwork

​

Suns in Actions - Ages 9 - 12 - will work on basic footwork, terminology, introduction to basic volleyball skills and movement, and basic combination skills and drills and introduced to team play

​

Suns in Actions - Ages 13 - 16 - will works on basic footwork, terminology, introduction to basic volleyball skills and movement, and basic combination skills and drills and introduced to team play

​

NO evaluation is required at this time, all players will be placed by age and will be separated in the gym by ability

​

There is a one-time registration fee for NEW players:

$100 for players NEW to the Suns

​

For returning players there will be a $25 COVID Compliance Fee

​

Commitment is monthly, athlete can stop at anytime

​

The registration fee includes 2 t-shirts that MUST be worn to each practice and a drawstring bag (No bag for returning players)

MANDATORY that all participants be a member of AAU Volleyball, www.aauvolleyball.org.  AAU Volleyball covers the liability for the player, coaches and venue.  Our 2020 -2021 club code is WYETF8.  Please use this link to register for AAU
